Commission Disclosure

As a RIBO-registered insurance broker, McCAM Insurance Brokers receives compensation in the form of commissions paid by insurance carriers. These commissions are included in the premium you pay and do not represent an additional cost to you beyond the stated premium.

Types of Compensation

  • Standard commissions: A percentage of premium paid by the carrier for policies placed and renewed
  • Contingency / profit-sharing: McCAM may receive contingent compensation from some carriers based on overall business volume, profitability, and/or growth. This is not guaranteed and varies year to year.

Your Right to Know

You have the right to ask McCAM about the compensation we receive in connection with your insurance placement. If you wish to know the specific commission rate or contingency arrangements applicable to your policy, please contact us and we will provide that information.

How Compensation Affects Our Recommendations

McCAM is committed to placing your coverage with the carrier that best meets your needs and budget. While we receive commissions from carriers, our primary obligation is to you, our client. We do not recommend coverage or carriers based solely on the level of compensation we receive.
